EMPLOYEES‘ VOICES

Mathias Hoff
Project Manager
My professional roots lie in the hands-on operations of bus and rail companies, giving me first-hand insight into processes, challenges, and decision-making structures. In consulting, I combine this operational experience with industry connections and strategic expertise to deliver solutions that are both practical and impactful. At BSL, I particularly value the close collaboration with our clients and the clear ambition not only to develop concepts, but to successfully implement them. This allows me to apply my practical experience in a targeted way and work with project teams to create sustainable solutions. My areas of focus include operations, engineering, operational IT, project management, as well as organizational setup and development. I also support tendering processes and the launch of transport services. In doing so, I develop practical, implementation-ready solutions and ensure successful delivery through clear structures and close coordination.
Sophie Grahl
Senior Consultant
With a background in behavioral economics, I combine economic analysis with a deep understanding of decision-making and demand behavior. Since 2021, I have been supporting public transport operators, transport associations, and public authorities at BSL in successfully addressing complex mobility challenges. My approach is data-driven, practical, and always focused on delivering sustainable impact. What I particularly value about working at BSL is the interdisciplinary collaboration and the opportunity to further develop projects together with colleagues from diverse fields, all with a strong focus on real-world application. My work focuses on developing robust demand and revenue forecasts in regional rail passenger transport, as well as analyzing, refining, and designing on-demand transport services. In addition, I take on cross-project responsibilities in project management, ensuring that initiatives are structured, well-coordinated, and implemented in a goal-oriented manner. As a PMP®-certified professional, I follow established standards while maintaining a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset.

Verena Hoba
Commercial Assistant
My studies as a communications manager first led me into the advertising industry. In 2003 I moved to a management consultant and since 2008 I am working for BSL, where I can apply my affinity for num-bers even better in accounting and project controlling. Moreover, I like to be on site in the Hamburg office and support our decentralised team on a daily basis according to their needs.
