Johannes Brüning joined BSL Transportation Consultants as a Consultant in 2018. Since 2024 he is supporting our clients as a freelancer. He graduated from the University of Technology in Dresden and the Riga Technical University in Riga (Latvia) with a degree in Traffic and Transportation Engineering and a major in Railway & Public Transport in 2016. The Max-Brauer Prize was awarded to him for his diploma thesis.
Following his graduation, he worked for Hamburger Hochbahn AG as a project engineer in the subway infrastructure department. He focused on the creation of technical concepts and specifications as well as their implementation. Furthermore, he was responsible for the examination of the technical feasibility and the subsequent on-site planning of adjustments to existing subway stations.
At BSL Transportation Consultants he is engaged in projects dealing with quality management and customer service in public transport as well as asset management. Here he contributes with his experience in process analysis and optimisation as well as his ideas as a convinced user of public transport. As a certified project manager (PMI PMP®), Johannes Brüning has the capabilities to provide his teams the necessary framework for delivering their work on time and in budget.
In his private life, he also enjoys “being driven around” – whether on the night train through Vietnam, by the Shinkansen through Japan or the tram around Lisbon. His camera is a loyal companion on the way to capture the best moments. At home in Hamburg, you can meet him with friends at a collective fitness training or while running around the Alster.
